Diamond I Comments on Future of Hand-held Gambling Devices in Nevada

Company's Proprietary, Embedded Biometric Security System Could Provide Desired Protections

Baton Rouge, La - Jun 2, 2005 (PRN): Diamond I, Inc. (OTCBB: DMOIE.OB), a developer of wireless gaming products, in response to numerous inquiries and recently published articles, discussed the operational features of its WifiCasino GS(TM) hand-held wireless gaming system, as those features relate to recently-passed legislation (AB471) in the State of Nevada. AB471, which authorizes the use of mobile communication devices, such as the company's WifiCasino GS wireless gaming system, for gaming in public areas in Nevada casinos that have 100 or more slot machines and offer at least one other game, has been sent to the Nevada governor for his signature.

Each of Diamond I's WifiCasino GS hand-held units contains a proprietary, embedded biometric security system that reads a WifiCasino GS user's thumb print, as a means of limiting usage to a single, authorized casino customer. This feature is, in Diamond I's view, vital to preventing minors from using its WifiCasino GS. Diamond I has pending patent applications that relate to its biometric security technology.

David Loflin, Diamond I's president stated, "Assuming that the Nevada Gaming Commission makes the required findings, this bill will enable Nevada casinos to utilize recent advancements in mobile technology to enhance their customers' gaming experience, as they compete against casinos in other jurisdictions and Internet gaming operations. One of the required findings is that mobile gaming systems 'provide reasonable assurance that players will be of lawful age ... .' We believe that our proprietary biometric technology will assist the Commission in making that finding."

The WifiCasino GS Gaming System

Diamond I's WifiCasino GS is a secure wireless PDA-based gambling and media network designed for Las Vegas-style casinos and resorts, as well as cruise ships and race tracks. The WifiCasino GS is designed to allow patrons to gamble anywhere on a casino's, ship's or track's premises (as permitted by regulatory bodies), including in restaurants, pool-side and at the bar. Using unique, patent-pending proprietary technologies, Diamond I's system offers a highly secure and consumer friendly gambling solution. In addition, Diamond I's system is capable of extending beyond gambling applications, to include providing Internet access, obtaining resort information, ordering meals and drinks, accessing concierge services, etc. With future applications in mind, WifiCasino GS's modular design will accommodate future plug-in modules that provide additional functionality, thereby permitting the host resort to provide its patrons with new forms of services and experiences.

Casino Queen Against East St. Louis Mayor's Plan
EAST ST. LOUIS, Missouri – As reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: "East St. Louis Mayor Carl E. Officer wants to wrap various city debts into one low-interest payment and use the freed-up money to build and refurbish firehouses.

(I-Newswire) - "His plan, though, is meeting with strong resistance from the city's largest taxpayer, the Casino Queen, which is banking on up to $11 million from the city to help finance a new gaming facility. The mayor's plan would, in essence, kill the agreement that the city approved in April with the Casino Queen.

"Jeff Watson, the attorney for the Casino Queen, said the expansion project would not be feasible without the funds already committed by the city. He contends that the city is bound by the ordinance the council approved in April and the Casino Queen has no interest in renegotiating.

"…The Casino Queen ultimately plans to spend $150 million on its new facility to go head-to-head with a $250 million gaming complex that Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. plans to build on Laclede's Landing, just across the river…"
